La Finca Resort reopens all its golf courses
Villamartín Golf is now open, Las Ramblas Golf opens on 22 July and La Finca Golf opens on 30 de julio.
When time stands still it leads us to something unique: improvements to processes, creativity in projects.
That’s what we've been doing all this time: REMODELLING, RENEWING AND MAKING IMPROVEMENTS FOR OUR CLIENTS.
All our golf courses and their facilities have been adapted to the new safety measures put in place as part of the protocol produced by the Spanish Royal Golf Federation in conjunction with a number of the sector’s professional associations and approved by the Spanish Health Department. All our user centres are adopting the anti-COVID protocols. We've taken the opportunity to adapt them and thus avoid having to block out dates once we’re up and running again, because of the maintenance work needed and because our quality standards require it.
We’ve set up a direct landing so that clients can make instant NO-RISK GREEN FEE bookings and even make cancellations up to 48 hours beforehand.
LAS RAMBLAS GOLF – Reopens on 22 JULY
Remodelling work: The green collars on the golf course have been renewed. As with the other two La Finca Resort golf courses, the enforced closure meant that all pricking and gravelling work on the greens was brought forward from the scheduled date of the third week in May. After pricking work was completed, the green collars were renewed using bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera), a premium quality variety that makes for an improved approach to the green.
LA FINCA GOLF – Reopens on 30 July
Remodelling work: The green collars on the golf course have been renewed. As with the other two La Finca Resort golf courses, the enforced closure meant that all pricking and gravelling work on the greens was brought forward from the scheduled date of the third week in May. After pricking work was completed, the green collars were renewed using bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera), a premium quality variety that makes for an improved approach to the green.
As the resort’s other two courses, good use of the enforced closure period has also been made at La Finca Golf, to bring forward scheduled pricking and gravelling work on the greens. As at Las Ramblas Golf, the green collars have been renewed using bent grass (Agrostis stolonifera).
At the same time, work has gone ahead on redesigning and restoring hole 16, an impressive par 3 that, following refurbishment, is expected to be another of the golf course’s iconic holes.
Work has also continued improving the landscaping in the natural areas of the golf course. All this has been done with the aim of placing La Finca Golf at the forefront of a select group of top quality golf courses in Spain.
The clubhouse at La Finca Golf is also undergoing refurbishment, to extend the area reserved for golf buggies and to provide new facilities where La Finca Golf clients and pass holders can keep their possessions, golf bags and both manual and electric trolleys.
VILLAMARTIN GOLF – Open since May
The golf course, which opened on 12 May, is in excellent condition with firm, impeccable greens. To make the most of the period when the golf course was closed to players, green maintenance and pricking work was brought forward from the original scheduled date of the first week in June. This means that the greens all over the course have had more than enough time to recover and show off their famous quality, to the great delight of the players, when the course was reopened. Villamartín is one of the finest golf courses in the Region of Valencia. Opened in 1972, it has since become one of Spain’s top golf destinations and is praised by thousands of golfers from all over Europe.
Plus, our aim is that our clients enjoy a unique experience of sport, health and gastronomy in an unparalleled setting; as Brendan Dwyer, Director General of La Finca Resort says:
“We're very pleased to present the latest stage of our ambitious development project, which is continuing to propel La Finca Resort to the highest level. The Resort is ready to reopen its doors to visitors at the end of this month after a six- million-euro renovation project involving major remodelling work on the golf courses and the restaurants. We're excited to be able to welcome our guests back this month so that they can experience everything the resort has to offer”.
